    Nothing says winter like peppermint, and nothing pairs better with mint than chocolate, so the cool mint oreo cookies were born. Originally I was going to make a raw-vegan minty hot cocoa, but raw and piping hot are kind of an oxymoron.     Sometimes you just want a light biscuit for a sweet snack. Reminiscent of the taste of Pez, I absolutely love this flavor combination. Lemon-lavender go together like PB&J, like “milk” and cookies, like Lucy & Ethel. I made this little biscuit because I like something sweet with my tea late at night. I drink more tea than most which gives me enough excuses to eat cookies before bed. With all the raw things I eat or drink, I refuse to give up my hot tea in winter.     Once upon a time there was a choke cherry tree right outside my door. It was so prolific that we were able to share cherries with all the critters, the neighbors and still have enough for jams and sauces. I wish that cherry tree was here now. Hello and Welcome! I’m Marie and I’ve been some version of Raw Vegan for the last 18 years… never mind the fact that I’ve managed to drag my entire family along on this ride with me! Truth be told: they barely even knew they were coming!

You – yes, you – can do this too!  But Let’s Get Practical! For most of us, it’s hard to eat Raw all day, every day. Especially if you live in a less than tropical climate. Or perhaps – like me- you’ve got a significant other… or maybe a tribe of ‘others’, who make 100% raw seem like sci-fi fantasy?

We all know that getting as much whole, living, raw vegan food into ourselves is a recipe for health and vibrancy! So why not make it easy and just eat raw for part of the day? Whether you use this as an avenue into an exclusively vegan diet or would never consider completely saying goodbye to meat, eating Raw till Four will guarantee that you’re ingesting fewer processed foods, less animal products and more of what’s actually good for you and your loved ones!
